Rocky River Run 2016

June 6th 2016
On 6th June, Rockhampton Psychology Services (RPS) participated in the 2016 Rocky River Run (RRR). This is an event that we enjoy every year as a practice. We find it is a great opportunity to get some exercise and have fun. I know that the use of the term ‘fun run’ is considered by many as an oxymoron. However, this is one of our favourite events of the year. In addition to having fun, it is important to us that we help raise the awareness of mental health issues.
Purpose of Rocky River Run
The RRR raises funds to address youth mental health issues and the prevention of youth suicide, which has been a significant issue in Rockhampton for several years. As psychologists this is a cause very close to our hearts.
Overall, it was a fun day with lots of laughter, food and good company…all in an effort to raise money for a good cause.
